A stormcloud, darker than the night,
Pierced by a splash of bright blue,
A single sunbeam shining through;
Like a wild bloom 'tween paper roses,
Like a crystal amongst glass pieces,
Standing out without trying to..
Empty faces all around us,
Lit up with painted pretty smiles,
Fade away when you turn my way,
For in your eyes lies an ancient truth,
One of hope that drives me still,
One that the rest chose to give away.
An island of tranquility
In the midst of this sea of noise,
Drowning out every other view;
Like a lighthouse in my stormy dreams,
Helping me safely ashore,
That, sweet angel, was how i found you.
Like a pilgrim at the end of his road,
Standing at his shrine,
I wondered if it had all come true;
And when you turned for another glance,
Held my gaze and searched my eyes,
I knew that you had found me too.

i read your posts pretty impressive stuff.keep it up. but one question -who's the muse?
no idea..lost her in the crowd..
i think the jekyll-and-hyde theory is bullshit.. sometimes i am half convinced that u have stolen these words from somewhere, but i suppose that only lends credence to the existence of a jekyll in you (or hyde, whichever way u want it).. apart from the flow of imagery being so simple and so vivid at the same time, what is intriguing about this whole thing is the metaphors.. "crystal among glass pieces" - its impossible to write things like that without actually 'seeing' them, im sure you cant 'think them up' during conversations with people, for example.. even more shocking is that you are not shocked by this split-mindedness of yours..
ps: are you doing mushrooms on the sly? i know someone who underwent a similar transformation under their influence, but he spoke mostly in prose and not much of it was bloggable stuff.
no..i am not doing mushrooms on the sly..and yes i find this split-mindedness very disturbing..part of the reason i keep dr jekyll as quiet as possible..the premise being that one of them ignored long enough will wither..for a few years here i almost thought i had seen the back of dr jekyll for good...
ah good.. u never will.. oh, and i (solemnly) call dibs on copyrighting your poems should the question ever arise.
is this abt the same blessing from jesus the holy C..????
u have come a long way since "My Epitaph", that much atleast i can say for sure, :P
